'There's no way I'm ever going to do that. He's not even repentant of his wrong.''
We see these scenarios playing at one time or another in our lives- when we have to forgive one who as wronged us and its obvious they aren't repentant of their action. Well, I came across an article online and I culled out some principles of forgiveness from it. Let's see if we can take some of them in this post.
First, forgiveness is a commandment from God (Matthew 6:14) and not a tool of manipulation. This means that the fact that you've forgiven someone doesn't mean that the person will change . So never forgive because you feel the 'guilty' party will change. Forgiveness doesn't guarantee a change from the other party, it guarantees your freedom-especially when its sincere.
Second, forgiveness is a source of tremendous strength to those who truly forgive as opposed to the view that it is an act weakness...
That's about how much we can take for today.
We would continue with this tomorrow hopefully...
From me to you, watch what goes on your inside...
