I trust we were able to work our imagination around the rhetorical questions asked in the first part of this series. In the course of my meditation and study, I actually discovered that it is those unseen or little parts of the the body that works the most, or better still, that gingers the manifestation of others. Please don't get me wrong. God is not a partial God. and would not make one part of His body less important than the rest or one more important than others. But what He is doing is to build his body in such a way that no part feels 'too useful' or 'too useless'. The point is if He (God ) created it, then it is very important; big or small. The most important thing to note is the function of every body part irrespective of its size.
We're all given a gift to use, we all have an assignment to do, we are graced well enough to do what we have to do to 'perfect the saints'.
So the next time you want to compare yourself with another, remember that:
1. We have our own field to plough,
2. We have been given the best we can handle at the time,
3. We have God's best, (at least for time being. He could choose to add to our gifting depending on our attitude to the seemingly little one or seemingly big one). Remember the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30?
4. We have to play our part in order to further God's purpose on the earth,
5. We're vital to the growth of God's kingdom irrespective of where we are or what He has given us to do,
6. We are deeply loved by God. That's all that matters anyway...
P.S: Let's not get worried over stuff like this ( giftings and open manifestations). Instead, let us focus on building a relationship with God. Having the fruits that make us more like him. It is with this relationship that you have a grasp of He needs you to do with he gifting(s) you have.
